Another ebay scam.

I personally have met a guy who made it work. It is not that much of an ebay scam it is more like a paypal scam.

What do you need to make this work is the following:
-Two computers connected to the internet
-One verified paypal account loaded up with 100$

It goes like this.

From PC1 verified paypal user sends 100$ to PC2 unverfied paypal user. In the memo he states that he is paying for a banner.

PC2 goes over ebay buys an item priced under 100$ with shipping. PC2 pays for the item. One day later the seller sends out the item.

PC1 logs in his paypal account and makes a claim against PC2. PC2 never responds to paypal's emails. Paypal reverses the transaction. PC1 gets the money and the item.

I am not completely aware under what circumstances paypal reverses transaction but they do.

The result: scammed ebay seller.

Damn I never have heard of that and that is a scary scam that I guarantee would work. Paypal reverses transactions at the drop of a dime so I could definitely see this working which sucks.

Everytime i see the guy and his sneakers i think of the scam. He never did it again, he was too scared that paypal would go after him. Paypal talk so much about buyers protection and stuf, they should work also on their seller protection. Couple of days ago i was in ebay's official forum a lot of sellers are being scammed today.
