Building a New Alexa Stat Counter

I have a website with an Alexa rating of around 5,000,000 but I get around 6k uniques per day. What would it take to create a visitor counter that actually worked similar to Alexa? I know it would be a huge feat but this is a niche that has huge potential for improvement and profit.

This isn't really shocking... Alexa is does better with webmaster-technology type sites because those are the people who download the toolbar and actually care about those stats. So, if that's not your niche, then don't worry. If that this your niche, well, then, there's an issue with Alexa cuz 6k daily is sweet.

Put one of the Alexa icons/widgets on your page, and your ranking will begin to increase....

Yeah Alexa is a joke it can be manipulated so easy. There is a code you add to any link you create that will lower your Alexa rank when ever it's clicked. Any the point is that Alexa is not accurate at all and pretty much sucks but it's all we have right now. I would LOVE to see something that was accurate and similar take it's place.

Well, just updated today... Alexa has changed their rankings system! They now include other resources.... trying to make themselves legit.... my Alexa ranking went up... you guys should check yours. Hopefully we'll see how good they are in the next month or so!

Yah, I am not interested in cheating alexa... but, I can see how that would definitely help you out majorly.... maybe throw that link in an autosurf....

This is not a cheat. You can do it and there is nothing wrong wit it. You can put that link in your sig or any other place.

But, that would take away the SEO benefit that you have, but on second thought, since I have noticed a recent harm from having a certain link in my digital point signature, this may be a good idea after all, since I don't want the seo 'benefit' on DP....
