Google OS?

There are some rumors that google be released their own OS. Any official statements? Release date? It is going to be real interesting in near future to watch a battle between Google and Microsoft.

I don't think so google will release OS. Maybe they can compile linux kernel and release it but a OS from scratch i doubt it.

There have been serious rumors about. I heard something like release date is set in 2010. It might be really false rumors but time will tell.
