How to create an expanding menu?

What I have is a menu with a list of sub items like:

Code: Select all

Food
   Chips
   Burgers
   Sausage
Drinks
   Cola
   Lemonade
   Coffee
Deserts
   Ice Cream



That list is just for the example, what I want on the home page is to just see the main headings, Food, Drinks, Deserts, If someone clicks on one of them, it expands to that part of the list only and makes the container larger.

Is this possible without using javascript/any other coding other than html/css?

Creating this type of menu is pretty easy in joomla. So i would you CMS download some template and addapt it to my needs. It will save you a hell of efforts. Good luck, mate.
