How to earn money selling domain names?

I wonder whether it is possible or profitable to resell domain names and earn a living out of it. I know many guys who are masters in this field and earning a decent living from it. I would like to know the online info or free ebooks to learn how to suceed in reselling domain names?

You need a big upfront investment to make a decent amount of money selling domain names. Either you buy a very desirable expensive domain name and sit on it or you wait for domain name sales then buy thousands of them.

So let's say you get 2000 .info's for 2.00 dollars a piece. Then what you do is set up an automatic blog based on a niche. Let the blog sit and create posts for about two months then sell if for around 10 bucks or so. That's a 8.00 dollar profit for each domain you have which is about 12,000.00 dollars profit which includes the initial cost of the domain names.

Thats actually a good idea... probably start on a smaller scale.... with maybe 25 blogs at $2.00 each, an d use that money to buy more and keep reinvesting.....

Another way of earning by selling domain names is to re-register expired domain names and then sell them. It is pretty hard to find vaulable domain names that are expiring but if you are lucky enough you can make some buck with almost no investment.

i heard that snagging good ones can be a lengthy process because of the 45 day waiting period, and companies built to snag domain names quickly when they expire....

Yeah. It is very hard to get away with a good domain name but if you do it is goin to be highly profitable. There are domain that are being sold for hundreds and thousand of dollars. You have to just get real lucky.
