How to make money form video business?

Anybody here have involved in Video business?
I heard many people earning money from uploading their video to the net.
How it is work?
Anybody can clarify this.

Well i have not tried it but i think websites like youtube, metacafe etc have contest for best videos and choose videos which are good. If their video gets selected then they earn good $$$.
