My little SEO experiment.

Postby BuckBuck on Thu May 01, 2008 5:46 pm

So i talked to a guy who proposed me an idea. He told me that it is possible it is possible to bring one site's PR with no backlinks.

Three months ago i decided to give it a try. I created a blog just for the experiment's purpose. I posted two duplicate posts from one forum(lol..) and i created some links around 35. All of them pointing to biggest site on the internet right now. I left the blog withouth updating in or doing any SEO.

I checked it today and i got PR1 :D. No backlinks and PR.

Anyone interested in the blog PM for the url. :)
Tasty recipes!

When changing page names on an existing site the typical advice is to setup a 301 permanent redirect from the old page to the new page. The idea behind this technique is to ensure that search engines update their databases accordingly. Ideally, the search engines will also pass on any existing trust from the old page to the new page.
