SEOMoz Page Strength

Postby CPhil on Wed Apr 23, 2008 8:13 am

SEOMoz is a pretty popular site when it comes to SEO, they provide a free report each day to analyse your page strength, this includes a whole host of things. To test your page just visit the link here:

To be honest that tool was popular about a year ago but Randy is an ass and the tool has gone to complete crap. It's unreliable and the factors it takes into account make it pretty much useless if you as me.

Yes, i was not impressed when I tried it after seeing how much weight people put on it in the DP forums and on other webmaster related website. I know nothing about the owner, but I know that the tool was a waste of my time.

I will come right out and say it SEOMoz sucks. Half the time is doesn't work and when it does the date it relies on doesn't make the tool accurate anyway.

Any alternatives to this tool/site?

I always thought it was a pretty reliable site but I'm n00b so just believe what I heard.

Nothing is reliable except for the actual Google PR but even that is manually adjusted these days. You can judge the quality of a website by it's incoming links and content, it's the best way.

Determining the value of the incoming links is pretty easy, but how do you determine the effectiveness and quality of content on a non-subjective way?

Ok i have to admit i havent see this one before. My first impression is that the tool is outdated for real. It cant verify sub-domain age. I registered a blog about a month ago and i check in SEOmoz page and it said that the domain names was 2826days old.

Probably more than you first think. I cannot believe there are so many people willing to pay for ebooks, but I hope to take advantage of this in the future. ;)

There reason why buy so many ebooks is pretty simple. People are naive. They believe that an ebook will bring them all the knowlege in order to be the best in what they are doing.
